FGG's President, Tim Freeland, A.S.G.C.A. (picture: left), and Vice President Maximilian Suchy (picture: right) have gained much of their experience working as lead designers in the offices of Gary Player Design.   Tim Freeland has worked closely with hall-of-famer and golf legend Gary Player for over ten years.

Working together at Gary Player Design until 2000, Tim and Max formed a close working relationship that is the foundation of our design company.  They have a real passion for the game, and a good ear towards the needs of their clients.  Tim has been the project architect on more than 20 Gary Player Signature courses, and was also involved in collaborations with famed golf course architect Joe Lee.  Max has taken major design responsibilities at Gary Player Design, where he worked on projects spanning five different continents, as well as at his previous employment with another ASGCA architect, John Sanford, which included design work for a Lee Trevino Signature layout.  They continued their successful working relationship at GMI Design from 2000 to 2002 with a myriad of projects ranging from small renovations to full new course designs.  Now, they form the dynamic design duo of the Freeland Golf Group!

Together, Tim and Max have now worked on well over two dozen projects, most recently with several courses nearing completion in Virginia, Florida, and Grenada.
The FGG design team takes great pride in their work, and is full of talent and enthusiasm that will make a golf course memorable, beautiful, playable, challenging, and according to our clients' project objectives and budget.
